This 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup was acquired by the seller in 2018 following a repaint in blue, and subsequent work completed between 2001 and 2003 involved installing a 5.3-liter V8 and a four-speed 4L60E automatic transmission. Components include a revised camshaft and fuel injectors, long-tube headers, and a Cold Case aluminum radiator with Derale fans as well as a 3,200-stall torque converter, a transmission cooler, and a one-piece aluminum driveshaft. TMI Products bucket seats are trimmed in black with patterned inserts, and the interior also features a RetroSound head unit linked to aftermarket speakers. The truck rides on 18″ US Mags wheels and has drop spindles, QA1 front coilovers, and Wilwood front disc brakes.
The truck was finished in its current shade of blue circa 2008, though the seller notes the rear of the cab and front of the bed were not painted. Exterior details include LED lighting, white hood stripes, and a wood bed floor.
Suspension includes a QA1 front coilover setup, replacement rear shocks with relocation brackets, and 4″ drop springs. The truck rides on US Mags 18″ split-spoke wheels mounted with Nitto tires, and Wilwood disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors are fitted up front.
The cab features TMI Products bucket seats trimmed in black with patterned inserts along with body-color metal surfaces, black carpets, and sound-dampening material. A RetroSound head unit is linked to speakers housed in the kick panels.
Dakota Digital instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 1,600 miles, which is said to represent the miles added under current ownership.
The seller notes that the 5.3-liter V8 was installed in 2022 and fitted with the following components:
BP Automotive harnesses were used for the engine and transmission along with a tuned E38 PCM and T42 TCM.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed 4L60E automatic transmission that was overhauled in 2023 and is equipped with an external cooler. An FTI 3,200-stall torque converter and one-piece aluminum driveshaft have also been installed. Areas of rust-through on the underside are depicted in the gallery below.
