This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 with a B&M floor shifter. Additional equipment includes Cragar S/S wheels, a dual exhaust system, and an electric radiator fan.
The car was repainted in Viper Red and white in 2017. The seller notes that the front fenders, inner and outer rockers, and right quarter panel have been replaced, the bumpers were re-chromed, and the trim was polished. A dual exhaust system has also been installed and ends in turn-down finishers.
The Cragar S/S wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The four-wheel drum brakes have been fitted with an electric vacuum pump and CPP tubular control arms are also installed.
The cabin has been reupholstered in black vinyl and sound-deadening material was installed under the replacement carpets. Equipment includes a B&M shifter, front and rear lap seatbelts, and Bel Air floor mats.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 110-mph speedometer along with readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles. An AutoMeter Sport-Comp 10k-rpm tachometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted under the dashboard.
The 327ci V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1968 Corvette, and an electric fan has been fitted to the radiator. The seller notes that the car was rewired during previous ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 transmission. The floor pans and trunk floor were replaced under previous ownership and the underside of the car has been coated with spray-on bedliner.
Restoration, service, and parts manuals and spare paint are included in the sale.
