This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS coupe is powered by a 350ci Turbo-Fire L48 V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, and it is finished in Fathom Blue with a white vinyl roof. Equipment includes 15″ rally-style wheels, power front disc brakes, front and rear spoilers, a white nose stripe, an aluminum intake manifold, and a dual exhaust system. The cabin is outfitted with blue vinyl upholstery, Vintage Air climate control, an AM/FM radio, and a Hurst shifter. Work since the seller’s 2017 acquisition included replacing various gaskets and servicing the steering and braking systems. The body left the factory finished in Fathom Blue with a white vinyl roof, and it is believed to have been repainted under prior ownership. Details include a white nose stripe, front and rear spoilers, and an SS hood with raised simulated air intakes. Bodywork to repair scratches on the right side of the car is displayed in the gallery.The 15″ rally-style wheels wear Cooper CSS Ultra Touring tires. Records indicate the ball joints, rear shocks, brake master cylinder, booster, and rear wheel cylinders were replaced in 2020, while the steering gear and idler arm were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The front bucket seats are upholstered in blue vinyl and woodgrain trim accents the cabin. The Vintage Air climate control system was serviced in preparation for the sale, and an AM/FM radio was installed in 2018. Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset analog clock, while readouts for amperage, engine temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure are mounted ahead of the Hurst shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, and approximately 2,500 miles were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci L48 Turbo-Fire V8 breathes through an aluminum intake manifold and a four-barrel carburetor. The seller notes that electronic ignition was installed in 2017, and work in preparation for the sale included replacing the battery, freeze plugs, alternator, and gaskets for the oil pan and valve covers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, and a photo of the transmission stamp is provided in the gallery. The exhaust system was replaced in 2020.
